Manager Ali Abdelaziz has revealed that a fight between lightweights Dustin Poirier and Beneil Dariush could be arranged.
The contracts are not signed yet, but the UFC wants to arrange this fight. I hope it works out for us.
Beneil has no one else to fight. We could face Rafael Fiziev, but he just had nose surgery, so that leaves only Porier.
I’m sure Dariush will win this fight and fight Islam Makhachev for the title, who will be the champion by then, said Abdelaziz.
Recall that the fight for the vacant lightweight title between Makhachev and Charles Oliveira will take place on October 22 at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi.
