Former Bulgaria striker Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that Lisandro Martinez reminds him of Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic due to his style of play.
Martinez has been a revelation for Man United following his summer move from Ajax and has won the hearts of many Manchester United fans, thanks to his consistency.
The Argentine is many things but his fighting spirit and determination at the back have made him a totally different type of player in the Premier League.
Berbatov says Martinez is fearless and puts himself on the line, hence reminding him of his former team-mate Nemanja Vidic, who was known for his fearless and fierce style of play.
Speaking to MU, the Bulgarian said: “He [Lisandro Martinez] is not afraid of anything. In a way, he reminds me of Vida [Nemanja Vidic] for his way of sacrificing himself and fighting for the team.”
