Liverpool have joined Manchester United in the race to sign PSV star Cody Gakpo.
Gakpo has been recently linked with the move to Old Trafford following his impressive displays for the Netherlands’ national team in the World Cup.
According to the sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Jurgen Klopp’s side are also interested in the attacker’s services.
The journalist claims, the two clubs will be in the battle for the player’s signature, however, it is “more than likely” not to take place in January.
“It’s only the Premier League clubs that can spend enough to get the player and PSV is asking for a lot of money. So I think Manchester United and Liverpool will battle for him,” Di Marzio said.
