San Antonio has traded point guard Dejounte Murray (25 years old, 193 cm) to Atlanta Hawks.
Forward Danilo Gallinari and three first-round draft picks – 2023 (from Charlotte), 2025, and 2027 (their own) – followed in the opposite direction.
The San Antonio Spurs also get to swap first-round picks in 2026.
Dejounte made his first All-Star Game appearance last season. He averaged 21.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game.
The opportunity to acquire a player of Dejounte’s caliber as he enters his prime doesn’t come around very often. He has built a reputation as one of the elite two-way defenders in the NBA, we are very excited to add him to our roster.
I would also like to thank Gallo for his professionalism and contributions to Atlanta over the past two seasons,” said Hawks head of office Travis Schlenk.
Gallinari will be dismissed from the San Antonio Spurs and become a free agent.
