David de Gea has provided a positive update on his possible contract extension at Manchester United.
Since making a move to Old Trafford, the Spanish goalkeeper has established himself as a key player in the Red Devils squad.
De Gea’s current deal at United expires in the summer of 2023. It includes an option for a further year, though the club board are eager to extend the player’s stay for the long term.
“We’re still talking,” De Gea said when being asked about the situation over his contract extension.
“I’m just focused on the game, that’s the most important thing, but for sure it’s going to end in a good way.”
