Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has broken silence following Tottenham’s latest game with Newcastle United.
Spurs faced a 6 – 1 defeat to the Magpies in the Premier League on Sunday. Harry Kane scored the only goal for his team, however, the club still lost points at St. James’ Park.
As a result, Tottenham are sitting in 5th place in the Premier League table with 53 points.
After the weekend’s disappointing result, Levy shared his thoughts, saying: “Sunday’s performance vs Newcastle was wholly unacceptable. It was devastating to see. We can look at many reasons why it happened.”
The chairman added: “Whilst myself, Board, coaches, players must all take collective responsibility, ultimately the responsibility is mine.”
After the latest defeat, the Tottenham board decided to part ways with the interim coach Cristian Sellini, with Ryan Mason now taking charge of the team until the end of the current season.
