Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that he would return to Manchester United after the World Cup despite his interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo has made some strong allegations about Man United, the owners and the manager, Erik ten Hag, and as a result, many outlets believe him and United are surely parting ways in January.

Reports this week emerged that Ten Hag has informed Manchester United’s hierarchy that he doesn’t want Cristiano Ronaldo in his squad anymore as he believes United can be stronger without the distraction that follows the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Regardless of what awaits the Portuguese forward, the 37-year-old has confirmed that he would still return to Old Trafford after the World Cup, after all he still has an existing contract with the club.

Speaking to Piers Morgan, he said: “It’s hard, it’s hard for me to say that I will not be back to Manchester United. But regardless, as you say, it’s… let’s see what’s going to happen.

“The fans for me always will be in my side, will be always in my heart. I see during when I go to the streets, the love, the passion, that people have for me, the respect. I hope they never forget the things that I will continue to do.

“Manchester will be always in my side, the fans will be always in my side; doesn’t matter what’s going to happen.”
