Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that Erik ten Hag and some profiles at Manchester United are trying to force him out of the club.

Man United resigned Ronaldo from Juventus last year and the 37-year-old forward would go on to finish the season as Manchester United’s highest goalscorer with 24 goals across all competitions, although his individual brilliance didn’t help United finish in the top-four or any win any trophy.

In the wake of Man United’s absence from the 2022/2023 Champions League campaign, Ronaldo was keen on dumping the Red Devils for a Champions League team but he wasn’t successful in doing so, despite missing United’s pre-season under new boss Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman has limited Ronaldo to substitute appearances despite regularly claiming in public that Ronaldo is very much in his plans.

Ronaldo has claimed that the Dutch tactician doesn’t want him at the Threatre of Dreams and three others at the club are also trying to make that happen.

Speaking to Pier Morgan in an uncensored interview, Cristian Ronaldo said: “Yes [Manchester United are trying to force him out]. Not only the coach, the other two or three guys around the club — I felt betrayed.”

The Portuguese star also confessed that he doesn’t respect Erik ten Hag because the former Ajax manager doesn’t show him respect at United.

Ten Hag froze Ronaldo out of his squad last month after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner stormed down the tunnel during Manchester United’s win over Tottenham.

Speaking about Ten Hag, Ronaldo said: “I don’t have respect for him [Ten Hag] because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”
