Christian Eriksen has broken silence after scoring his first Manchester United goal on Sunday against Fulham, and reacted to the tight win.
Christian Eriksen has spoken up after he scored his first goal as a Manchester United player on Sunday against Fulham and reacted to what he described as ‘hard fought’ game.
Eriksen moved to Man United as a free agent over the summer but has quickly settled in well at Old Trafford and is one of Erik ten Hag’s undroppables.
The midfielder has since been putting out top performances but had to wait three months into the season before writing his name on the Manchester United scoreboard.
Eriksen opened the scoring in the first half against Fulham and provided the assist to Alejandro Garnacho‘s last-minute match-winning goal.
When asked about his thoughts on his first Manchester United goal, the Dane told BBC: “About time! I owed a few so I’m happy to be on the scoresheet in the last game before the World Cup. It’s been a good week.”
On United’s tight win at Fulham, he added: “I think in the end we’re just happy with the three points. It was a hard fought game on both ends but just happy with the win.”
