CHris Sutton has made his prediction on Everton vs Manchester City ahead of the clash on Wednesday.
Everton prepare to host Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
Currently, City are 5th in the league table with having played one game less due to reaching the final of Club World Cup and celebrating a win over Fluminense.
Meanwhile, the Toffees, who are currently 16th in the league table and have been given a 10-point deduction this season, faced Tottenham and suffered a 2-1 defeat.
Ahead of the game, BBC Sport football expert Chris Sutton has made his prediction. According to Sutton the game will end in a 1-1 draw.
“I really like what Everton are doing and I can see them giving the world champions a good game here,” wrote Sutton on BBC.
“Manchester City will kick into gear at some point but I am not sure it will happen at Goodison Park. We don’t know if Erling Haaland will be fit to start, and it’s probably too soon for Kevin de Bruyne to come back from injury too.
“Everton are relentless at the moment, and even against Tottenham they kept going and almost snatched a point at the end. I can see them getting some reward this time.”
