Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech could be out of Chelsea’s UCL squad to take on Borrusia Dortmund.
Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech may be facing exclusion from the club’s Champions League squad, according to sources. With the recent acquisition of Argentina’s Enzo Fernandez, Chelsea have now exceeded the limit of three senior player changes allowed by UEFA for the knockout stage.
With 23 senior players currently registered, one player must be omitted, and it appears that Ziyech will be the one facing the axe.
Despite making 15 appearances for the club this season, Ziyech has only started 9 games, failing to score and contributing just one assist. This comes as a blow for the Morocco international, who was unable to secure a deadline day move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Chelsea currently sit 10th in the Premier League and will take on Fulham on Friday, February 3rd. With a win, the club has the potential to rise to 6th place.
