Following their brilliant 2-0 win against Dortmund,Chelsea’s Official Twitter account took a swipe at their opponent.
Chelsea secured a resounding 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of their Champions League tie, clinching their place in the quarterfinals.
Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz were the goal-scoring heroes of the night, overturning the 1-0 deficit from the previous encounter.
Despite the immense pressure on Chelsea’s under-fire manager, Thomas Tuchel, his team’s dominant performance came as a huge relief to him and the supporters alike. Tuchel’s side showed glimpses of their true potential, leaving no doubt about their capabilities on the pitch.
As if the win wasn’t enough, the individual in charge of Chelsea’s official Twitter account added insult to injury by taking a jibe at their opponents with a post-match tweet. Quoting a previous tweet from the first leg, the admin wrote, “Anyone for a beer?” The initial tweet from February 15 read, “Sorry for the delay, admin’s just been hit by a pint from above.”
The Blues will be looking to build on this win and look to revive their already poor season.
