Chelsea’s caretaker manager, Bruno Saltor, said the team lacks confidence in front of goal after a 0-0 draw with Liverpool despite creating enough chances
Chelsea’s struggles in front of goal continued as they played out a goalless draw against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The Blues missed several opportunities to score, highlighting their ongoing shortcomings in attack.
In the aftermath of the match, Bruno Saltor, who has taken charge of the team on a caretaker basis following the sacking of Graham Potter, acknowledged Chelsea’s lack of confidence in front of goal. Speaking to reporters, Saltor said, “We created enough chances to win the game. They’re human beings, and the confidence has to be there. We just need to keep helping the boys. They’ve been going through a lot. It’s been a tough season for them.”
Despite the team’s struggles in front of goal, Saltor was quick to praise their effort and attitude. “The boys gave everything. They played with their heart, and you can’t ask for more. I know they missed chances, but the attitude was there.”
Chelsea’s lack of cutting edge in the final third has been a recurring issue this season, and it appears Saltor has his work cut out to rectify the situation. The Blues will need to find a solution soon if they are to achieve their objectives for the season.
