Chelsea have reportedly blacklisted Barcelona from signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who would “love” to return, due to the Catalan club’s approaches for the striker.
Chelsea have reportedly put a spanner in the works for Barcelona’s potential move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabonese striker, who enjoyed a successful spell at Barcelona earlier in his career, is said to be keen on a return to the Catalan giants. However, according to Spanish outlet AS, Chelsea has blacklisted Barcelona from signing the veteran striker, following the Blaugrana’s alleged approaches for the player.
Aubameyang has had a disastrous season at Stamford Bridge, managing just 12 Premier League appearances, mostly from the bench, and not making it to the Champions League knockout rounds squad.
Despite his struggles, the striker’s desire to return to Barcelona seems undiminished. Chelsea’s decision to refuse any potential move for the player appears to be an attempt to rectify their mistake of bringing him in for a hefty fee in the first place.
