Romeo Lavia will miss the rest of this season following a setback in his recovery, as confirmed by the club.
Lavia joined the Blues during the summer transfer window and has made only one appearance.
The 20-year-old’s debut season was hauled with injures.
He has only made an appearance against Crystal Palace in Premier League where he featured for 32 minutes in Chelsea’s 2-1 win.
