The Blues are interested in signing Leipzig defender, Josko Gvardiol this winter as they look to further strengthen their squad.
Chelsea will make another attempt to sign yet another defender despite landing Wesly Fofana and Koulibaly last summer.
A name which has managed to come up their list is Leipzig’s Defender, Josko Gvardiol who is currently valued in the Bundesliga.
Gvardiol has already racked up 42 League appearances since returning from a loan spell in 2021 to win a spot on the starting eleven.
Currently at the World Cup with Croatia who have successfully advanced into the round of 16, Gvardiol could be heading to Chelsea after the World Cup as Blues are reportedly willing to offer a staggering €70m for the 20-year-old.
Chelsea new owner, Todd Boehly is a fan of the Zagreb Academy graduate and that will play a key role in Chelsea’s decisions.
However, RB Leipzig are yet to consider letting versatile player leave with no replacement available.
Chelsea will continue to pressure Leipzig for a negotiations while the player is been contacted so as to agree personal terms.
