Chelsea Football Club has successfully wrapped up negotiations to secure the services of the highly-talented prospect, Lesley Ugochukwu, hailing from the 2004 age group. The deal, reportedly agreed upon with Rennes, involves a substantial fee estimated to be around €27 to €28 million.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that all the necessary formalities have been completed, with medical tests already scheduled to ensure the player’s fitness for the forthcoming season. The club’s medical staff is working diligently to assess Ugochukwu’s physical condition, ensuring his readiness to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.

Additionally, the London-based club has agreed to offer Ugochukwu a long-term contract, signifying their belief in his immense potential and commitment to nurturing young talent within the ranks of Chelsea’s esteemed academy.

Despite this impressive acquisition, the question of Ugochukwu’s immediate future at Chelsea remains uncertain. There are two potential avenues under consideration: a potential loan move to Strasbourg or a chance to continue his development within the confines of the Chelsea first team. The final decision will be made in collaboration with Thomas Tuchel and PSG manager, Mauricio Pochettino, who is known for his astute development of young players.
