According to a report from HITC , Chelsea is poised to escalate its efforts to bring Yoro on board, a move that could potentially give them an edge over rival clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester United, who are also vying for the Lille youngster’s signature.

The scouting mission took place during Lille’s captivating draw against Montpellier, where Yoro delivered a stellar performance. While initial assumptions pointed towards Chelsea’s interest in striker Jonathan David, it was the 18-year-old defender who caught the eye with a commendable defensive display, preserving a clean sheet and securing a crucial point for his team, who were reduced to 10 men in the second half.

Despite facing competition from other top clubs, Chelsea is keen to outmaneuver both Manchester United and Liverpool in the race for Yoro. The young talent has been on the radar of these Premier League giants for several months, but Chelsea is making a concerted effort to secure his services before rivals can make their move.

Yoro’s appeal to Chelsea lies in their vision of him as the ideal long-term replacement for Thiago Silva. With the experienced defender’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2025, Chelsea aims to act swiftly to avoid any potential contract extensions with Lille.

While the Blues strive to position themselves as front-runners in the pursuit of Yoro, Manchester United and Liverpool are not backing down, signaling a fierce competition for the talented defender. The escalating rivalry is expected to drive up the already considerable price tag attached to securing the services of the promising Lille prospect.
