Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Rafael Leão amid Chelsea’s transfer interest.
According to the sports journalist, AC Milan board have been in talks with the player’s father over a new contract.
Speaking about the negotiations, Milan director Frederic Massara said: “We’re confident to sign new deal.”
Leão’s current deal with the Serie A giants expires in 2024. It includes a release clause worth €150m.
Graham Potter’s side have been heavily linked with the move for the AC Milan star. However, now they have received a transfer blow in their hopes.
