The Times reports that England’s most leading clubs, including Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, have included mandatory pay cuts in their players’ contracts in case of unexpected relegation, but not Chelsea. At present, the Blues are ranked 14th in the table with only 20 points after 19 matches. Chelsea are only three points away from relegation zone. In mid-December, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich fired Jose Mourinho and announced Guus Hiddink would be the temporary coach till the end of the season. William Hill gives only 67.00 odds that Chelsea will get relegated. The bookie believes more in Chelsea being in the Champions League top four at the end of the season with 12.00 odds.
