Negotiations are closing in for Chelsea to sign Kounde from Sevilla.
Chelsea are close to reaching an agreement with Sevilla over Jules Kounde.
According to Italian reporter Gianluca di Marzio, the Blues are close to agreeing a fee of around €50 million for the 23-year-old.
Kounde has been a key target for Chelsea’s head coach Thomas Tuchel since last summer. The French player was linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks but now appears Chelsea bound.

Jules Kounde has only worn five shirt numbers (31, 5, 11, 12, 23) in his whole club career to date, and he could be set to choose a new one if he completes a transfer from Sevilla to Chelsea.
The French previously wore the numbers 23 and 12 for Sevilla, but unless something changes, both are still reserved.
Meanwhile, there are few shirt numbers available in the Chelsea first 11, but that might not be an issue for Kounde.
Numbers 2 and 4 are vacant after Rudiger and Christensen have left the Blue’s summer.
