The Arsenal squad are remaining level-headed despite their impressive start to the season, which has seen them amass 50 points from their first 27 games. The 3-2 victory against Manchester United was the icing on the cake for Mikel Arteta’s men, who have already surpassed last season’s point total with 19 games still to play.

The Gunners have only dropped points in three matches, with Newcastle and Southampton the only teams able to hold them to a draw. This has propelled Arsenal to the top of the table, five points clear of second-place Manchester City, who also have a game in hand.

However, it’s worth noting that City, known for their ability to string together winning streaks, still have the opportunity to recoup six points when they face Arsenal twice later in the season. Add in the fact that Arsenal lack experience in this position, and it’s clear that the title race is far from over.

Bukayo Saka, Arsenal’s 21-year-old winger, recently spoke about how manager Mikel Arteta is keeping the team grounded and focused amidst the pressure of the Premier League. Saka, who scored a stunning goal against Manchester United, revealed that Arteta has emphasized the importance of taking it one game at a time.

“Obviously enjoy tonight,” he said when asked by the Arsenal media team what the Spaniard told the squad.

“Because we deserve to, but next week when it’s time to go again, and the FA Cup we go again to win that game, and when the Premier League resumes again we have to be ready to go again. Each game, each game, each game.”

The next five matches will be crucial for Arsenal, as they take on City in both the FA Cup fourth round and the first of their league clashes. It’s a defining stretch of fixtures for the Gunners, who will be looking to solidify their position at the top of the table.
