According to ESPN insider Brian Windhorst, Warriors leader Stephen Curry will not use his influence to block a possible trade of Nets forward Kevin Durant
Golden State made the playoffs this season for the first time since Durrant left in 2019 and won the championship, with Curry being named Finals MVP.
That says a lot about the whole Warriors organisation. They’ve just won a championship, Steph Curry is having a career high point, but he wouldn’t have resisted that option. Curry has the clout with which to stop a theoretical swap and Kevin’s return, but he won’t do it. Neither will Joe Lacob, said Windhorst.
Curry recently said he “likes the current squad” of the Californian team.
