ESPN insider Brian Windhorst opined that there could be the second return of star LeBron James to the Cavaliers in the 2023 offseason.
“I don’t get the feeling that LeBron wants to leave the Lakers. Still, I wouldn’t lose sight of the fact that the Cavaliers could have an empty payroll next summer. LeBron, on the other hand, could become a free agent.
“The team that Cleveland has assembled now is stronger than the one they had during his first campaign in 2014,” Windhorst said.
The 22/23 season will be the last in the 37-year-old James’ current contract.
