“Biggest dream of all’ – Lisandro Martinez reacts after World Cup success

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez won the Qatar World Cup with Argentina after France victory.

Lisandro Martinez has described winning the Qatar World Cup as the ‘biggest dream of all’ after Argentina beat France on Sunday evening.

Argentina led 2-0 at half-time following a penalty goal from Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria but France fought back in the second half and scored twice following a brace from Kylian Mbappe and the final was pushed to be decided in extra time.

Lionel Messi restored Argentina’s lead in the first half of the extra time but Kylian Mbappe scored the equaliser yet again from the penalty spot.

Argentina won the final 4-2 on penalties and Lisandro Martinez becomes the latest Manchester United player to win the World Cup.

Speaking after the victory, Martinez tweeted: “THE BIGGEST DREAM OF ALL!!! WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!! ARGENTINA ARGENTINAAAAA CARAJ000000.”
