According to Leverkusen manager; Xabi Alonso, Callum Husdon-Odoi could be staying longer in the Bundesliga.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to face a very tough decision by January as his fine form heightens his chances of returning to the Chelsea first team.
The Ghanaian was frozen off the first team under Thomas Tuchel and loaned to the Bundesliga where he was hopeful of getting regular playtime. The move hasn’t been a bad idea so far.
Hudson-Odoi has in the shortest time grown into one of the most important players in Leverkusen but with this bringing joy to the Bundesliga side they also have to deal with the headache of Chelsea asking to return.
Following an interview, it’s now clear on what stance the club is on concerning the player’s future with the manager stating he hope the 22-year-old extends his stay.
“I want to keep him a lot,” Alonso said. “I am sure that he will stay until the end of the season. He is an important player for us.”
