Barcelona have reportedly renewed the contract of youngster Alejandro Balde as the club continues to show their support for their youngsters.
Barcelona have secured the long-term future of one of their brightest young talents, Alejandro Balde, with the confirmation of a contract extension for the 19-year-old left-back.
Balde, who made his debut for the club under Ronald Koeman in September 2021, has been a standout player in the squad this season under Xavi’s guidance. His performances on the pitch have not gone unnoticed, with many experts predicting that he is on track to take over the left-back position from long-term servant Jordi Alba.
However, the club’s fragile economic situation and issues with La Liga rules had raised concerns over their ability to keep hold of Balde. But, according to reports from Ferran Correas , the contract extension between the two parties has been finalized. While official confirmation and further details are yet to be released, it is understood that Balde’s new contract will run for five years, with a release clause of €1 billion.
It is also expected that Balde’s current wage of €21,000 per year will be increased significantly, in line with his performances and to deter other clubs from attempting to acquire him.
This move is a clear indication of Barcelona’s commitment to building a strong team for the future, and it is expected that Balde will play a key role in that endeavor.
