Chelsea are keen on turning Joao Felix loan move into a permanent one, and there seems to be ray of hope on the Blues, as Atletico seems to be thinking their way.
Joao’s move on loan from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea can be tagged eventful so far, as the Portuguese was shown a straight red card in his debut for the new club against Fulham in January.
Flelix, after serving his match bans, came back against West Ham to score a fine opener, credit to Enzo who spotted him from a distance to drop a deep pass behind defenders for a superb finish from Joao.
Chelsea went on to draw the match 1-1, an equalizer from the Blue’s old boy Emerson denied the visitors 3 points at the end of the 90s.
The London boys are on a trip to Germany, to face Borussia Dortmund in the 1st leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League, which seems the only competition within the reach of the Pride of London.
With the many additions to the Chelsea squad, the place of Christian Pulisc remains a doubt, and the American is currently on the raider of Atletico Madrid, with only 18 months on his contract.
Pulisic has played 136 games for Chelsea since signing from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 for 58m, scoring 26 goals and providing 21 assists.
Talks between the two clubs will reportedly take place when Felix’s current loan deal expires at the end of the campaign, Atletico are willing to let go of Felix, should Chelsea release Pulisic and an additional fee of 50m€.
