Reports coming out of Italy claims Arsenal are intensifying their efforts in landing Lazio Star Sergej Milikovic Savic.
Arsenal has reportedly emerged as the front-runners in the race to secure the signature of Lazio’s star midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, this summer.
As per the latest report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoweb, the Gunners are the ‘most determined’ among the clubs vying for the services of the Serbian international.
Milinkovic-Savic has been one of the standout performers in the Serie A this season, consistently demonstrating his box-to-box abilities on the field. The Lazio talisman has notched up an impressive tally of 8 goals and 8 assists in 38 games for the club.
With his contract set to expire next year and no signs of an extension in the works, Lazio are now reportedly open to selling their prized midfielder in the upcoming transfer window. Arsenal, however, is said to be leading the charge for his signature, with the North London club keen to bolster their midfield options.
Although the exact transfer fee has not been revealed, recent reports suggest that Lazio could sanction his departure for a fee in the region of £35 million if they fail to persuade him to commit his future to the club.
