Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a move for Emiliano Martinez, the former Arsenal goalkeeper who is currently playing for Aston Villa under the management of Unai Emery.

According to a report by 90min, Martinez could be tempted to Unite with Antonio Conte, who is currently at the helm of Tottenham, during the summer transfer window.

Despite previously representing Arsenal, Martinez’s impressive performances for Aston Villa have caught the attention of Tottenham. The report claims that the 30-year-old goalkeeper is keen on playing in the Champions League and views Tottenham as an ideal destination to achieve that goal.

Tottenham are currently in a strong position to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League and have already qualified for the UEFA Champions League this season. With the possibility of playing at the highest level of European football, Martinez may be convinced to make the switch to Tottenham.

Martinez has had a remarkable career path, having spent most of his time at Arsenal as a backup goalkeeper before finally breaking through in his final season, which saw him lift the FA Cup with the Gunners.

A move to Tottenham would give him the opportunity to establish himself as a first-choice goalkeeper at a top-level club and compete for more trophies.
