Arsenal Football Club has been linked with several top-notch strikers in recent months, and the latest name added to their wish list is none other than the highly talented Lautaro Martinez.

The 25-year-old Argentine forward played a pivotal role in his country’s triumph in the World Cup earlier this season and has been in scintillating form for Italian giants Inter Milan.

While Martinez’s name has been previously linked with a move to the Premier League, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will be able to secure his services at the end of the season.

However, journalist Paul Brown has now revealed to GiveMeSport that Martinez has a keen desire to join a club that is playing in the prestigious Champions League if he decides to leave Inter Milan.

Given Arsenal’s return to Europe’s premier club competition next season, the North London club could be an enticing destination for Martinez, and it would not be surprising if the Gunners went all out to sign him this summer.

Brown further stated, “I think Lautaro Martinez will go to a Champions League club if he is to move. It’s looking pretty good for Arsenal in that regard, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they went quite big for him this summer.”

Martinez has been in stunning form this season, scoring 16 goals across all competitions, and he could prove to be an excellent partner for Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus upfront.

Arsenal has missed the Brazilian forward during his injury layoff, and the club needs to add more depth to their attacking options. The addition of Martinez would not only provide an alternative to Jesus but also give Arsenal a boost in quality, making them more competitive in their pursuit of major trophies.
