Mikel Arteta is reportedly targeting Josip Sutalo as a defensive option for Arsenal in the upcoming Champions League season.
Arsenal is reportedly eyeing Dinamo Zagreb defender Josip Sutalo as they gear up for their return to the Champions League next season.
According to the Evening standard , Mikel Arteta is keen to add defensive depth to his squad and sees Sutalo as a potential target for a fee of around £18million.
The Gunners have been keeping a close eye on the 23-year-old right-back, who has made 32 appearances across all competitions this season. Sutalo has been with Dinamo Zagreb’s senior squad since 2020 and has garnered interest from several other clubs, including Fiorentina, Leipzig, Wolfsburg, Fulham, and Manchester United, as per the Daily Cannon.
Sutalo’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, with the Croatian international recently being part of the squad that finished third in the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar. Arsenal will have to fend off competition from other clubs to secure the services of the talented defender.
