Douglas Luiz has signed a new long-term contract with Aston Villa.
The Brazilian was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal next summer as his previous contract was set to expire in 2023.

However, the 24-year-old, who arrived at Villa Park in 2019, made it clear he feels ‘comfortable’ under Steven Gerrard and desires to stay for more years at the club.
“I’m so happy. I’m so happy in this club and I love this club. I love the people here, the staff and the players.
“I’m so comfortable here and I’m so happy.” stated Luiz after renewing with Villa.
