Aaron Ramsdale is on the verge of finalizing a new contract with Arsenal, according to the latest reports.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper currently has two years left on his current deal, and the club intends to offer him a substantial increase on his current weekly salary of £60,000 ($75,735) in recognition of his key role in their challenge for the Premier League title.
Aaron Ramsdale has been a regular starter in all 35 of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season, recording the second-best result with 13 clean sheets after David de Gea (15).
In Arsenal’s recent 2-0 victory over Newcastle United, Ramsdale once again showcased his talents. The win brought Arsenal within one point of league leaders Manchester City, although they have played an additional game.
A formal announcement regarding Ramsdale’s new contract is expected soon. The remarkable rise at the club is a complete contrast to the pessimism that surrounded his transfer to Arsenal in the summer of 2021.
