Arsenal is reportedly interested in signing David Raya, the Brentford goalkeeper.
Arsenal is reportedly exploring the possibility of securing a deal for Brentford FC’s talented shot-stopper, David Raya. The highly-regarded 27-year-old goalkeeper has garnered interest not only from Arsenal but also from German giants FC Bayern.
According to the Athletic’s journalist David Ornstein no official bid has been submitted by Arsenal as of yet. However, both Brentford FC and FC Bayern are well aware of the North London club’s keenness to acquire the services of the Spanish goalkeeper.
Despite the competition from Bayern Munich, it appears that David Raya has expressed a strong preference for a move to Arsenal. This preference could be attributed to the prospect of reuniting with his former Brentford goalkeeper coach, Inaki Cana, at the Emirates Stadium.
Furthermore, it has come to light that Nottingham Forest (NFFC) is also in the mix for a new goalkeeper, with Matt Turner being considered as a potential target. However, the valuation gap between the two clubs could pose a hurdle to any potential deal, and discussions between the parties are said to be ongoing.
