Arsenal are said to be in pole position to landing Victoria Guimaraes midfielder Ibrahima Bamba as the Gunners quest for a midfielder continues.
Arsenal are said to be leading the race to sign 20years old midfielder Ibrahima Bamba from Portuguese side Victoria Guimaraes as reported by Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Notícias (via Sport Witness)
The Gunners quest for a midfielder heightened after injuries to backup midfielder Mohammed Elneny as confirmed by manager Mikel Arteta.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Arteta said: “Well, we need some more cover in midfield ideally if we can. In this market, it’s pretty complicated to do that.
“The most important thing is that we get the performances and the time on the pitch that we need with the players we have available today that are already really good.
“If there’s anything else available that can make us better we’ll look at it.”
The report further claims that the 20 years old agent was spotted in London as the transfer for the young Italian edges closer.
The Gunners are five point clear off the top of the Premier League and would like to make a strong charge at securing a trophy they’ve failed to win in a long time.
