Antonio Conte has sent a transfer message to Daniel Levy following Tottenham’s goalless draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Spurs shared the points with the German side at Deutsche Bank Park. Despite the result, Conte shared his praise for the players after the match.
Then he opened up on the difficulties of facing Champions League and Premier League teams, claiming they would need more transfers in order to compete with a stronger squad.
“We have to take steps, be patient. If you compare Champions League with Europa League or Conference League, it’s completely different. Strongest XI, it makes it difficult to more changes. We know we need more transfer windows,” Conte said, via HITC.
“Today I brought on Gil and he’s a young player. We have to become stronger as a squad. If we have the ambition and intention to play for these two big competitions, you lose players to injuries, you need a really, really big squad.”
