Alex Corretja spoke out about Rafael Nadal’s readiness for Wimbledon.

“I think 2022 was a real miracle for Nadal from the beginning.

First, he took his first tournament, then his first Slam, then he got injured again and had a very crumpled preparation for Roland Garros.

In the end, he won, and a couple of weeks later I thought maybe he needed time to rest and recover. But now he’s ready to try his hand at Wimbledon.

I think only Rafa is capable of that – despite all the health problems, he successfully overcame them. It proves his humility and desire to keep moving forward.

I don’t think he’s aiming for a calendar Grand Slam, it’s hardly in his plans. He’s just training and wants to be ready for the first round. That’s his only goal ” said Alex Corretja.
