Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly attracting interest from Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.

Garnacho has been one of Man United’s top performers in recent weeks under Erik ten Hag and as a reward for his top display, La Liga giants Barca are reportedly monitoring his progress at Old Trafford.

According to Spanish journalist Fichajes, the Argentine has emerged on the radar of FC Barcelona and the Catalans are reportedly going to try to sign him next summer.

Garnacho came off the bench and provided two assists to help Manchester United stage a comfortable 4-2 win over Aston Villa on Thursday night in the Carabao Cup.

His superb cameo came after he had recorded a decent performance against Aston Villa last weekend at Villa Park on Sunday in the Premier League.

The 18-year-old was the only goalscorer in Spain when Manchester United beat Real Sociedad 1-0 in the Europa League earlier this month.

According to MEN, Alejandro Garnacho has an active contract that runs until 2025.

Erik ten Hag was full of praise for the youngster’s instant impact against Villa and predicted that Garnacho’s attitude will determine if he’ll improve better or not.

On Garnacho’s performance, Erik ten Hag added: “I think it was good that also when he [Alejandro Garnacho] came on that he showed performance that he has an impact in the game.

“Quite clear, with two assists, some good dribbles, runs behind, but also some things he has to improve.

“For instance, when we go for the long ball, don’t go for the header with Scott McTominay, go for the second ball.”
