Formula 1 champion in 1980, Alan Jones has shared his concerns about the future prospects of Daniel Ricciardo in McLaren.
“At the moment, Ricciardo’s future at McLaren is questionable. Unless he can make significant improvements, acting quickly and intelligently, I don’t think he’s likely to stay there for long.
Daniel is a good driver and a great guy. However, as we all know, good guys don’t usually succeed, especially in Formula 1. The more of an asshole you are, the better the results – and we are now apparently proof of that.
Contractual obligations don’t mean much in F1 either. But anyway, if the situation does not change, I personally do not doubt that they will activate any of the options” – said Jones.
