Edson Alvarez has broken the silence on his collapsed move to Chelsea this summer.
The midfielder was close to completing a move to Stamford Bridge for a £43million fee during this summer transfer window, however, the deal never took place.

Speaking to ESPN NL, the Mexican has confessed he is ‘very disappointed’ over his never materialized transfer.
According to several sources, the Blues could rekindle their interest in bringing the player to London in January, however, fellow Premier League rivals Manchester United might enter the race to sign the Eredivisie ace in winter.
“I am very disappointed about it. But I am convinced that one day a big club will come” said Alvarez
“We never expected Chelsea to put in another bid at the end of August. It was a difficult situation. Ajax couldn’t do anything”.
