Aaron Ramsdale has given his reaction to Arsenal’s recent showdown with Manchester City in the Premier League.
The two sides clashed on Wednesday in a decisive meeting for the Premier League title race.
The Citizens managed to secure three points and shorten the gap with the leaders Arsenal by scoring four times in a victorious 4 – 1 game. Erling Haaland, john Stones and Kevin De Bruyne put their team ahead versus the opponents thanks to their stellar performances.
After the disappointing defeat to their title rivals, Ramsdale spoke candidly about his feelings, saying:
“The immediate reaction coming off the pitch is disappointment. We came here to win the game and we haven’t managed to do that,” the keeper said.
City are now just two points behind Arsenal holding two games in hand. Now they could easily snatch the league title from the Gunners’ grasp. However, Ramsdale urges his team not to give up so easily and keep fighting until the bitter end.
“We haven’t played nine months of Premier League football to be in this position to moan or give up – we’re not going to do that. If something is going to happen, it’s going to be in our league, so, we’ve got to be there to pounce if anything happens,” he added.
