Double chance is a type of bets which allows a punter to bet on the two of three possible outcomes of a match.
A punter has the following options: a double chance that combines win/draw of one of the teams or eliminates the draw altogether. Hence, for the first option a bet is marked 1x or x2 and the second option is marked “12”.
For example, Barcelona vs AC Milan:
1x – Barcelona to win or draw
X2 Milan to win or draw
12 Barcelona to win or AC Milan to win
Double chance bets are often argued as risk-hedging and are usually placed by punters preferring multiple bets with many events in.
