One of League Two’s most in-form sides, Wycombe Wanderers, host Leyton Orient – a side perilously close to the relegation zone after a bad run of results – at Adams Park on Saturday afternoon.

Wycombe have been on a fantastic winning streak of late and, after five straight victories, Gareth Ainsworth’s side find themselves in the play-off places. The Chairboys look pretty much invincible right now as, not only have they won those games, they have won them in convincing fashion – conceding just the one goal during their incredible run.

Ainsworth’s side are not scoring plenty of goals but they do not need to with their defence doing as well as it is.

Even before this magnificent run of victories, Wycombe had a good record at home having taken maximum points from four out of their last five, suffering just two defeats at Adams Park all season.

Leyton Orient had a bit of a reprieve last weekend as they ended their run of three successive defeats with an incredibly important victory over relegation rivals Accrington Stanley. However, they are still just a worrying three points above the relegation places.

Defence is not a problem for The O’s and in fact, their record of 26 goals conceded in 20 league matches is better than most sides between themselves and the play-off places. However, their lack of goals scored means that they tend to lose a lot of matches by a one goal score-line as their firepower cannot convert 1-0 losses into at least 1-1 draws. Like so many teams in this sort of predicament, if Andy Edwards’ side go behind, they pretty much have no chance of winning.

Orient will not feel overly confident going into their match against high-flying Wycombe this weekend as their away form has been rather sketchy having lost four out of their last six matches on the travels.

I am incredibly surprised that an odds-against price can be obtained on a Wycombe here and would certainly advise you to go with the home win at the great price of 23/20.
