Two clean sheets in a row for Wolves
Saturday’s draw with Norwich ended goalless and Wolves had their goalkeeper Jose Sa to thank for that as Norwich started to pile forward towards the end of the match.
Wolves had dominated the first half and parts of the second half but struggled to create any clear-cut opportunities, which looking at their goal tally for the season appears to be their main problem.
However, with a defensive record only bettered by the top three, they can be confident of nullifying Burnley’s strike force despite their good form of late.

No action for Burnley on the weekend
Burnley should benefit from some additional rest as their game against Tottenham on Sunday was a late casualty thanks to the snow.
Burnley’s last action was a thrilling 3-3 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday 20 November, where strikers Chris Wood and Maxwel Cornet both got on the scoresheet. Both scored their second goals in their last three matches, and for Wood it was his 50th career Premier League goal.
Wood and Cornet’s goals were both assisted by the head of centre back James Tarkowski, while their other goal came from a header from fellow centre back Ben Mee, demonstrating the aerial presence Burnley possesses.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Burnley predictions
Games involving Wolves average the least number of goals in the league, and while Burnley’s strikers have been on form as of late, their combined four goals mentioned above all came in home fixtures.
Burnley have only scored six goals away from home and we can’t see them adding to this against one of the leagues stingiest defences. We predict that Wolves will win to nil.
As above, we can’t see Burnley scoring but we can’t see Wolves scoring any more than two goals either so we predict that the game will have under 2.5 goals.
