West Ham still with a chance of top-four finish
The Hammers are still in contention for a Champions League spot finish as they are fifth with 55 points, the same points as Chelsea who are fourth on goal difference, despite their last defeat in Newcastle in which West Ham scored a league-high fourth own-goal this season.
That was West Ham’s fourth consecutive match in the Premier League in which over 4.5 goals were scored. West Ham have scored 11 goals in those four games and conceded 10 goals. Lingard has been on top form scoring four of those 11 goals.
David Moyes’s team have lost just one home game in the Premier League after scoring first and have conceded just once before the 30th minute at home this season. In their last eight games, West Ham have scored an average of two goals per game.
Chelsea to strengthen their fourth spot position
The Blues are having a great season especially after German coach Thomas Tuchel was appointed. They have just one defeat in the Premier League under Tuchel. They have qualified to the Champions League semi-final and the final of the FA Cup after beating Manchester City last weekend.
They did miss the chance to go third after drawing with Brighton in midweek but they did leapfrog their opponents for the all-important Champions League spot. Under Tuchel, The Blues defense improved immensely having 15 clean sheets in 20 games.
Similar to their opponents, two of Chelsea’s last four games had over 4.5 goals while the other two were goalless draws. Chelsea scored six goals in those four games and conceded six. Tuchel must find back his team’s stability and defensive solidness.

West Ham vs Chelsea Prediction
There has been a lot of goals in matches concerning West Ham recently. Chelsea as well had two matches in their last three with 12 goals scored in them. Chelsea might be happy with a draw from this one and they will also have the Champions League semi-final in their minds next week.
We think both teams might score in this game but we may not see too many goals as in West Ham’s recent games since Chelsea will focus more on defense.
