Monday night’s Premier League match is a London derby between West Ham United and Chelsea.

West Ham are on a decent run at the moment with no defeats in their last three, pushing them up to 11th in the table.

Slaven Bilic, who was under pressure until recently, has got his side playing attacking football which has resulted in the Hammers scoring 35 times in just 26 games – 12 of those in just their last five matches. However, this does mean they leak a few (44 in total) and they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five league matches.

The Hammers struggled a bit in the London Stadium towards the start of the season but now seem to have got used to their new surroundings with decent results against the teams in and around them. Their only recent losses in the league have come against teams inside the top six.

Chelsea continued their march to the title last time out with victory over Swansea. The Swans put in a good display at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea’ ruthlessness put them to the sword – the mark of champions. The Blues sit seven points clear at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand.

It is stating the obvious that Antonio Conte’s men have the perfect blend of good defence and attack. They have scored 55 times this season and conceded on just 19 occasions whilst they also have kept clean sheets in 50% of their league matches.

The Blues have stuttered somewhat on their travels in the last couple of weeks with just two points gained from a possible six at Liverpool and Burnley. However, given West Ham’s home record against the top sides in recent matches, you would expect Chelsea to get back on track here.

Although West Ham are quite an attacking side, they are without Andy Carroll and Michail Antonio coming into this match – two big losses. With the Hammers’ attacking options depleted against the resolute Chelsea back-line, I’m expecting the away side to remain resolute and keep a clean sheet. Therefore, ‘Chelsea to Win to Nil’, at 7/4, is the bet to go for.
