Ufa – CSKA Moscow. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
CSKA, of course, are the favourites for this match, there is no doubt about that. But it is clear that the visitors are now nervous, the management breaks down on referees, so does the head coach and players. They are well aware they cannot lose points at this stage. Their opponent is not the strongest, but this is an away match on an artificial surface. Ufa are facing relegation and need points, as well. I expect CSKA to win, but don’t expect very high quality. The most important thing at this stage of the season is the result. CSKA must win so that they can approach the Krasnodar game with increased confidence. Ufa looked very weak in attack against Samara and Rubin, but CSKA’s defence is far from perfect, although in truth it should be good enough to keep a clean sheet against Ufa, a side who’ve failed to score in two of their last three games. On this basis the bet to go for is CSKA to win to nil.
