The Masters: day 2. Vladimir Sinitsin’s prediction
Yesterday we saw the loss of Shaun Murphy. But how we could predict Mark Allen’s win with Murphy being obvious favourite? It would be like “Shaun Murphy to win, but let’s bet on Allen”. Impossible. We couldn’t expect such a weak game from Murphy. He was bad in all showings. And one frame he lost with three misses on one red ball despite of being 17:1 up before that. Well, that was the first surprise of the tournament. More to come.
We have two favourites in Day 2 – Judd Trump (odds to win are 1.60) and Barry Hawkins (odds to win 1.73). I agree with the bookies. In game Trump-Maguire the advantage of Stephen Maguire is just in history of their face-to-face matches. But he is having a bad season. And Judd Trump was good at the group of League championship. In game Hawkins-Perry we’ll see equal rivals, but Barry Hawkins have more achievements like two appearances in the world championship finals. And he has better ratings and plays calmly. I suggest to bet on Trump and Hawkins to win with special bet with enhanced odds.
And there is one more bet on Hawkins-Perry match – Barry Hawkins to win and both players to win at least 3 frames at 3.00. I think Hawkins wouldn’t get big handicap. So this bet is pretty decent to my view.
