Sanfrecce Hiroshima – River Plate. Tancredi Palmeri’s prediction
BeIN Sports correspondent and CNN/Rai Sport and Gazzetta dello Sport contributor Tancredi Palmeri is giving his view on the Club World Cup semifinal between Sanfrecce Hiroshima and River Plate.
River Plate are the obviuos favourites, but Sanfrecce Hiroshima gave the first blow of this Club World Cup eliminating Mazembe, who were the finalists in 2010. But we are talking about only the hosting team because Sanfrecce had nine wins and one draw in the last 10 official games. And in six of this ten games they didn’t concede a single goal. OK, it’s Japanese football, but we can still see how solid is the team.
While River Plate had only two wins in last eight games, maybe because they were focused on the Club World Cup. They are the obvious favourites. The odds on River Plate win are pretty decent – 1.85 with William Hill. But maybe even better are the odds on River Plate winning with a one goal gap. So it’s draw with handicap -1 for River Plate and it’s 3.44 with William Hill.
